negolith@yahoo.com BioI was born and raised in the tiny town of Cut Bank, Montana, whose only real claim to fame is being cold spot of the nation more than once. Graduated from the University of Montana with a BA in Archaeology and promptly couldn't get hired anywhere because I didn't have a masters degree. Sigh. Oh well, still love archaeology and still get out to visit ghost towns and prehistoric sites in Western Montana. Currently live in Missoula and have a regular job that pays the bills, but what I really want to be is a writer.
My original fiction is in the urban fantasy/horror genre, though I have dabbled in fantasy and science fiction. My idols are Dan Simmons, Guy Gavriel Kay, Jim Butcher, and Lois McMaster Bujold. I always thought I wanted to be able to write a story that would strike Harlan Ellison speachless, but knowing what I know about the ascerbic s.o.b., that might just be a bad thing. Until then, I type away, dreaming of the day my name is on a dust jacket. I just recently have been bitten by the fanfic bug, and have several Stargate Atlantis stories floating around out there.
